The 2012 Empty Bowls Virginia Peninsula event was our first fundraiser. It was held at Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News on February 10, 2012. We limited our ticket sales to 300, and were surprised and delighted that they were sold out 10 days before the event. It was a gratifying response to our fledgling project.

Our fundraiser resulted in $9000 that was divided three ways and donated to these three organizations.
